Wraparound and infill extensions, Bricket Wood

ReVamp was asked to transform this property with the addition of a ground floor wraparound extension to accommodate an open plan kitchen/diner overlooking the garden and terrace.  The design, by Seth White Architects, features a beautiful oriel window to provide a framed view out to the garden.   The oriel window, together with the sliding doors and rooflights, bridge the connection between the outside and inside whilst bringing in natural light in abundance to flood the space.

Along with the wraparound extension, additionally an infill extension was built between the main house and the garage to provide a flexible music / workshop area with glazing at the front and rear and more roof lights for ample natural light.

The same white render was used on both the wraparound extension and the infill extension to connect the two extensions visually, whilst providing a clean contrast with the existing house and new elements of the building.  The zinc roofing brought a contemporary design feature to the home to blend in with the new anthracite frames of the new windows and doors.

Inside the wraparound extension a new contemporary shaker kitchen was supplied and fitted by Audus kitchens.

Some great design features, and it was a pleasure to work with both the customer and architect to bring the visions to life for their wraparound and infill extensions.
