"Revamp were an incredible company who worked tirelessly to complete our extension to a superb standard"
Revamp is an
independent, family business established in 2006, initially to support our own aspiration
for developing properties for resale. With extensive experience in home
building and renovations, the business was then expanded to take on
developments and general building works for local customers in St. Albans and
the surrounding areas.
Along our journey,
ReVamp has built up a regular, reliable crew of sub-contractors, consisting of bricklayers,
plumbers, electricians, plasterers, carpenters, decorators, roofers, landscapers
and many more. All are familiar with the
high-quality standards and delivery timelines we expect and Mac co-ordinates
them like clockwork when running a project.
Today, as a result
of Mac’s passion, commitment and high-quality build finish, ReVamp is
recognised locally as one of the leading builders of choice. Hear what customers have to say about ReVamp here.
Our latest
development also sees us moving into new build eco homes, building more energy
efficient homes for the future that are superior, stronger and airtight whilst
reducing site waste, significantly easing the cost of living and supporting a
greener Earth.
ReVamp Interiors was also launched in 2022, rounding off the services we offer.
“We were extremely pleased with the work undertaken by ReVamp on the rear extension to our house. They came highly recommended and exceeded all of our expectations. ReVamp is of an extremely high standard and we found Rodney (Mac) and his team willing, respectful, very hard working and reliable. At every step in the process we were consulted, advised and kept up to date with progress. Their customer service is first class”

Rodney McNamee,
aka “Mac”, is the main man behind ReVamp and pretty much the best Project
Manager you will come across.
A few things to
know about Mac:
He is very hands-on on site and runs a slick
project, co-ordinating all the trades and supplies whilst keeping on top of
progress daily. A well-run operation
saves you significant time and money.Mac lives life at 110mph, he’s a whirlwind, but you
can be assured your building project will move forward swiftly and precisely,
communicating prompting with you along the way where decisions need to be made.
·
Over the years Mac has become very familiar with
planning legislation, dealing regularly with both the Planning Office, Building Control and Service providers. He has a good eye to recommend how to get the most out of a
property, whilst understanding what can be done whether under permitted
development or with planning permission.
Mac is a problem solver. He’s had many hurdles to
overcome through years of building and renovation work – he’s all about getting
to the route of any problems and finding best solutions to move things forward.
Mac does not cut corners. Even if you can’t see what’s behind a wall
or under the foundations, he will go above and beyond in ensuring the house is
sound, solid and well insulated.
Finally, Mac is a bit OCD which makes for an
interesting combination with a builder, but he prides himself on keeping a
clean, organised site.
“Mac's can-do attitude set him apart from the other builders, and he showed genuine interest and enthusiasm in helping us design it. He's focused on solutions rather than problems, and is an excellent communicator and project manager. Mac is very responsive to phone calls and messages, sorts things out as soon as they're mentioned and sticks to the schedules he sets, helping to eliminate a lot of the stress that comes with building work. Mac has a great team and network of trustworthy tradespeople. The extension was built on-time and on-budget, and we're really pleased with it. Thank you, ReVamp!”
Julia, St Albans
For every property
development we’ve undertaken, the other half of ReVamp (aka Mac’s wife, Emma) has
personally and thoughtfully selected
all the interiors from the kitchens to the bathrooms, the flooring to the
stairs, the colour schemes to the lighting. This is where Emma’s passion for
interiors and creativity comes alive, she thrives on it, and nothing gives them
greater pleasure as a business than helping people create, or buy, their dream
home.
Taking ReVamp fully in to the world of interiors therefore seemed the
natural next step, so Emma formally retrained gaining a diploma in Interior
Design with The Interior Design Institute, launching the Interiors side of the
business in 2022.
She’s now working with customers to create harmonious home interiors that resonate with the personalities of those within and the ambience they're
looking to emanate. Key to every design is
always the functional optimisation and practicality of a space, relevant to its
intended use, whilst respecting the character and era of the home itself.
Having moved over 10 times themselves, every design being an enhancement on the home
before, Mac and Emma have learnt a few things along the way, and Emma brings this
practical and creative insight to every interior she has the pleasure of
designing.
"Emma provided such an excellent service. I had a clear picture in my mind of what I wanted but after speaking to Emma and with her invaluable knowledge of design, colours, fabrics, flooring, furniture she put together the most wonderful mood board turning my drab living room to a warm snug which was exactly what the family wanted. Nothing was too much trouble for her. She project managed the job from start to finish. I will definitely be using her services again"
Louisa, St Albans
